Join the South Carolina Historical Society for an oyster roast at historic Kinloch Plantation. Known for its significant rice processing facilities and preserved rice fields, Kinloch Plantation sits on the North Santee River surrounded by acres of natural landscape. The event will include a tour of the grounds and a featured lecture. South Carolina Historical Magazine editor Matthew A. Lockhart, Ph.D, will present his talk “Creating Kinloch: Georgetown County’s Duck-Hunting Clubs on the Eve of World War I.”
