Lunch & Learn: A Born Merchant: The Origins of Henry Laurens’s Trading Empire, Presented by: Greg Brookings

Dr. Greg Brooking will present “A Born Merchant: The Origins of Henry Laurens’s Trading Empire.” He is currently at work on a biography of Laurens (the first since 1915) entitled Henry Laurens: A Southern Founder.

Greg holds an BA, an MA, and a PhD in history. He is in his 32^nd year of teaching, from middle school through college. His first book, From Empire to Revolution: Sir James Wright and the Price of Loyalty in Georgia, won the award for Outstanding Documentary History of Georgia.
