Dr. Hayden Ross Smith earned his B.A. from Furman, his M.A. from the College of Charleston, and his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. A professor at the College of Charleston, his research examines the intersection of environment, technology, and culture, with a particular focus in the South Carolina lowcountry and the broader American South.
