2024 Winter Lecture Series: “Seven Things You May Not Know about the Battle of Sullivan’s Island”

February 13th- “Seven Things You May Not Know about the Battle of Sullivan’s Island” presented by Dr. C.L. Bragg, Author

Dr. C. L. “Chip” Bragg is an anesthesiologist in Thomasville, Georgia. His lifelong passion for American history has resulted in the publication of several books, including: Distinction in Every Service: Brigadier General Marcellus A. Stovall, C.S.A. (White Mane, 2001), the critically acclaimed Never for Want of Powder: The Confederate Powder Works in Augusta, Georgia (University of South Carolina Press, 2007), of which he is the coauthor, Crescent Moon Over Carolina: William Moultrie and American Liberty (University of South Carolina Press, 2013), and Martyr of the American Revolution: The Execution of Isaac Hayne, South Carolinian (University of South Carolina Press, 2016).

Ticket Prices:

  • Full Series of Lecture (4 lectures in-person)- $65 for members/ $75 for non-members
  • Single Lecture (in-person)- $18 for members/ $20 for non-members
  • Streaming Lecture- $10 per livestream (Livestream links will be emailed to registrants ahead of the lecture; following the live event, recordings of the lectures will be made available to livestream ticket holders)
    • Registration for the livestream will close at 4pm on the day of the event
